JEE is joint entrance test for btech by this is bachelor degree after completion you will be able to apply and work at least as an assistant engineer

Polytechnic is equivalent course which can be opt either after 10 th or 12th ..giving placement as a junior engineer.

After cracking JEE you will be able to study in Some NITs or IIITs ..or maybe IITs too 

well polytechnic is also good for those who are dedicated to engineering because they can opt btech degree after completing 2 years of polytechnic too.

the enginereing course would be combined of the lot memories in the life

the best one the engineering is the JEE only because  the enjoyment you have and the professors teach you well

the infrastructure  and the highly advance labs can be found in the JEE colleges

better go with the JEE engineering colleges
