It depends on your objectives. A diploma in agriculture is a 2-year course with practical orientation in general agriculture. After passing Class 10 exam, you can apply for Diploma in Agriculture. After getting the diploma in agriculture, you work as an agricultural assistant in any state agricultural department or you can develop your own farm.

A diploma in agricultural engineering is a specialized course dealing with farming machinery. After getting the diploma, you can work in state government’s Agricultural Mechanization Department, and in private farm machinery sales outlets. Privately, you can start a farm machine hiring service, open a farm machine repair and maintenance shop, and so on.

Dear Tushar,
I would like to clear this out for you that polytechnic is a degree and agriculture is a field. You can opt for polytechnic in agriculture field.
