Look, these both have their seperate learning  and practices ,it depends on your choice that in which field you want to contribute to your best and exel in that particular field.Earlier , only BDS people used doctor in front of their name and not bams people but today bams people also uses dr. in front their name.

From today's scenario goverment jobs are lacking in field of BDS and dental surgeon have their private clinics, but BAMS seems to have a good growth in past 5 years as use of ayurveda is able to treat many dangorous diseases very easily with less expense as comapred to some other tratment, also there are goverment jobs in BAMS. hence, BAMS seems to have more scope than BDS.

Hi dear,
Both the field are equally good. The choice of career depends on your interest.
Scope for BDS -- There are plenty of good jobs & higher study opportunities available after getting the degree in dentistry as a doctor.
A BDS graduate may go for the PG degree programmes leading to MDS (Master of Dental Surgery).MDS is post graduation degree in dentistry field and allows the candidates to specialize in any of its discipline. Interested candidates can also go for research programme.
Scope for bams -- Day by day, the scope of Ayurvedic is overlapping to the other medical system not only in India but also in the world. In many cases the people have taken the experience for the trustfulness of the Ayurvedic system and medicines treating for the chronic and non-healable disease.
In many cases, when the allopathic system becomes a failure with a particular disease and surrenders, the Ayurvedic medicine does the magical effect to rejuvenate the illness or the patient.
The career opportunity after the completion of BAMS is not only in India but also in foreign countries. Many organizations are working in the manufacturing and research field in abroad are requiring the professional in this field.
The candidate having the BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree is eligible to be called as a doctor and eligible to do the private practice.
Job opportunities also exists in government sector. One can get job in government ayurveda hospital as ayurvedic pharmacist. After the completion of this course, candidates also have opportunity to open their own retail shop of Ayurveda medicines.
Teaching field is also open for BAMS graduates. They can find employment in private and government ayurveda Institutes.
Hope this helps
