BBA economics prepares a student to work in a business background while BA economics helps in developing a broader set of skills in humanities stream.

If you want to pursue an MBA after graduation, I will suggest you to go for BBA rather than BA. While if you want to get a job in teaching or banking sector, you should go for BA.
