In my opinion, Veterinary field is extremely interesting, job assuring, compassionate career, satisfaction of healing mute souls, decent earnings.So if you compare Agriculture degree course with the Veterinary degree course, the latter (Veterinary) is better in many dimensions.

Veteniary: I think this is the only field without saturation. Jobs are more and veterinaians are less. So regarding job prospects Veterinary is way better than  agriculture . Government jobs are easiest to obtain  and the scale lies in Group-A Gazzetted in most of the states (In some states it is Group - B Gazzetted). Also you can practice on your own (pet practice in metros/ livestock practice in rural area).
