If location of work is really important and you are picky about it, then Dentistry (BDS) will be the better choice. The reason being that while there has been a growth in vet sciences over the years most govt. jobs are available in rural areas. Earning wise too BDS can give you much more opportunities other than opening a clinic such as clinical research, periodontics, oral radiology etc. This is completely dependant on what you prefer but generally this is how it is.
