Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SV Medical College)


The medical college was inaugurated in July 1960 after the government sanctioned the formation of a medical institution at Tirupati. Dr. Venkataramiah was the first principal of the college and the first student batch graduated in 1967. Currently, SVMC has a sprawling campus spread across 200 acres of land with excellent academic facilities and infrastructure. The admission intake was initially 100 seats which were expanded to 200 seats in 2013.

SVIMS, Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (SVIMS- SPMC W)


Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) was inaugurated in 1986 by the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Late Sri. N. T. Rama Rao, in Tirupati. However, SVIMS, Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women was established recently in the year 2014. The institute aims to set a high benchmark in medical education by providing world-class healthcare, academic and research facilities in the medical sciences field.
