Hello Aspirant,

For doing M.Tech through PGCET, you need to have a valid GATE score or you will have to to appear in PGCET exam.
If you will clear GATE there is no need to appear for PGCET exam because while preparing merit list in PGCET, GATE qualified students are given first preference over PGCET students.Now, if you do not want to appear in GATE then you will have prepare for Pgcet.
It is indeed a tough exam and so first of all I would suggest you to download past 10 year question papers and try to solve them.Not many students take any coaching for pgcet, just devote 6-8 hours daily and with right strategy and books and you will get a good score.
