MBA is a degree course which is only offered by the colleges which are affiliated by universities.

PGDM is a diploma course which is offered by those institutes which are recognized by the AICTE i.e., autonomous not affiliated by any university. If the Institute is accredited by AIU then PGDM course becomes equal to MBA course.

Both MBA and PGDM are same from career point of view.
