studying statistics in a bsc course with computer science is a go through course (even better than btech) . Moving with the basic concept of statistics as your base and having knowledge of programming language will help you to run softwares designed for the data sciences . I think the future of statisticians and data science in India is bright.

Hello Durga.. it all depends on the choice and interest in subjects.. If you are good in statistics ie: in numbers then you can take stats, as physics is there everywhere in science so physics would be always be the better option according to me..
