To be frank with you my one friend is studying there and I got some information from him.
UPES is only good for its flagship programs i.e Btech in Petroleum Engineering and MBA in Oil and Gas. Rest of the things cant assure you a good place in corporate. Choose wisely.

PROS: Awesome location, if you have never seen mountains.

CONS : Very poor ROI, average faculty, arrogant placement deptt (they just believe in numbers)

Well it will provide you will with mba degree in oil and gas. If you have different plans then go for some different institues.
