CS is not a course offered by any colleges or universities. It is offered byThe Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

You just need to get yourself registered, take the books, and appear for exams. You can opt for coaching with various tutors/institutes if needed.

The course for company secretaries is recognized by and affiliated to the ICSI. It is rigorous 3-level course, wherein students have to clear three different examinations to take up the profession. The foundation course of 8 months is open to all students who have cleared their 12th examination.
