Different states have different cutoffs of the courses. In some states the cutoffs are high above 580 or 600 and in some states the cutoffs are little less above 500. If you have a state quota of any state then your chances for a government seat increases.

see every year cutoff cahnges. so it is really difficult to say that which score you will get surely government medical colleges. however 300+ score is on safe side to get a seat in any courses.
