Hi

I am assuming you from general category

With  82.5 percentile

You may not even qualify jee main

For example,

In 2020, qualifying cutoff for general category was 90.3765335

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

I am  sorry to tell you but with this rank you have low chances in any IIITs, NIT, even in lower ones.

For example,

Cosing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under other state  for general category  :-

  • National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Civil Engineering :- 47412

  • National Institute of Technology, Mizoram, Civil Engineering:- 49757

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 50,010

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 45,000 - 50,000 to get into even lower NITs. And to get a rank in this range, you need at atleast around 95.5 - 96 percentile .

Assuming youre a General Category Aspirant or even for the Case OBC or EWS, you wont really secure a seat at any NIT, IIIT or GFTI with a Percentile ot 82.5. Incase youre a SC/ST, you perhaps have low chances of securing a seat. You should rather keep State Engineering Colleges as well as Private Engineering Colleges accepting JEE Main Scorecard as Options.
