The older and more established NITs like Surathkal, Trichy, Warangal, and Calicut are a lot better than the new IITs in every aspect and in placement too. The number of companies that old NITs attract are huge. The scope here is as good as the older IITs but not same. The only slight difference here is the salary offered  company offering 10 lakh rupees per annum in the older IITs may offer you lesser in NIT.
