previous year cutoff as a general category the chance seems less to get a seat in NITs,

IIITs & GFTIs however you can try for state counseling like Punjab, Haryana, MP, Etc.

First of all congratulations on scoring an excellent percentile in JEE MAINS. Definitely you will get top branches like computer science, electrical, civil, mechanical, etc in NITs like NIT JALANDHAR, NIT ROURKELA, NIT TRICHY, NIT DURGPUR, NIT PATNA, NIT WARANGAL, NIT SILCHAR, etc. So i will prefer you to apply in the HOME STATE category in your state NIT so that you will have good chances of getting a better seat with same percentile as compared to other NITs.
