Hello maruthi phanendhra , From some research on internet about both the colleges I found that NIT Durgapur with Mechanical Engineering is better college in placement, fees, infrastructure and all in compare of amritapuri ece.

First of all I want to tell you that there is no IIT in durgapur (as you mentioned above in your question).

There is an NIT (NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY)  in durgapur which is considered as one of the best premier institutes of Technology in India.

I wouldn't say that any college is bad . If you really want to take ECE then for sure you should join other colleges in which you'll get that but I'll suggest you to join NIT durgapur .

In any situation it'll be far better for you as it's an old college of National importance where you'll get much better exposure according to me.
