First thing that doing BTech with mtech after doing polytechnic only waste of time. But students who don't study 12 they can do this course then do btech after.

For second option you have to score good rank in jee than give advance then study in good college ofcourse if your rank is good.

So both the choices are same except one is like holding your nose from behind the ear and another is like straight from the face.

You can also do integrated btech mtech also. Integrated means combined, joined or cohesive. So an integrated MTECH. course means a 4year BTECH.

In integrated course you get both bachelor and master degree combined after 5 years. In this option you don't have the opportunity to choose your mtech specializations so you can go for simple bachelor and then master's.

Going through polytechnic or straight to jee is your choice. And there is no advantage you have to give exam in both.
