G, if you are talking about difficulty, then mechanical engineering is considered one of the toughest branch. It is a core branch. ECE on the other hand is much easier.

If you go with ECE then you will get the job easily with higher packages. There are lots of job in private sector as well as government sector in Mechanical engineering but there are almost zero government job for ECE.

So it is completely up to you in which direction you want to move forward to.

Hello santosh, hope you are doing well.. mechanical Engineering would be one of the best option you may choose .. mechanical enginerring has a wide scope in future and would definitely help you to get good salary as well As compared to the ece course..

Thanks for asking your query as per my view both branches have equal weightage in the current senario.Mechanical has its demand by govt because projects are always on the way but ece has its demand in private firms like microsoft,apple,hcl etc future scope of ece is more than mechanical and both are equally tough in btech and mtech as well.
