Akash, Thermoregulation is a process of maintaining the constant body temperature or what is usually referred to as constant internal temperature. It is a process by which various internal processes combine together to maintain an ambient body temperature where it can work without any problems. The healthy internal body temperature has an average value between 98°F (37°C) and 100°F (37.8°C)and our body has some flexibility with temperature. However, if the fluctuations from this ambient temperature is more than acceptable, it may lead to serious problems for an individual.

For maintaining this ambient internal temperature, our body has Hypothalamus, which is responsible for thermoregulation. It is a part of our brain and it maintains the constant temperature through sending signals to muscles, organs, other body parts and nervous system and they respond in various ways to help maintain the normal body temperature.

Hope this helps.
