Which rank (category or Air) is used for SCOP (SC open) seats in NEET UG counselling?

Hello there ,

Hope you are doing well . Your NEET AIR is the prime rank that determines whether you'll get selected into a medical college or not . Other ranks like state ranks and category ranks are derived from the All India Rank only .

So yes your NEET AIR is considered for Counselling. But yes , for different categories the closing AIRs vary like for general or OBC candidates the closing AIRs for a particular college seem to be lesser mostly within 50k whereas for categories like SC and ST the closing AIRs are much greater sometimes extending to even 1.5 lakhs . So do check the previous year's closing AIRs for your state through State quota state counselling. If you have an AIR within that closing AIR ,you'll get a college for sure because the cutoffs are expected to be somewhat similar to last year's or may increase marginally.
