Firstly, for admission to M.Sc programmes at IIT, you will have to qualify the IIT JAm entrance exam.
Various scholarships are provided for students to pursue their education. IITs also provide Institute scholarships to students belonginf to SC/ST categories.

The criteria can vary from the Institute to institute. Like, IIT Hyderabad provides scholarship to all SC/ST students. They are provided free messing and boarding, pocket money. Scholarships are provided only to students fulfilling the criteria.
