Dear Aspirant

Information technology is a good branch compared to electronics and communication as you get ample of placement opportunities also different carrier scope you have you can go in any field whatever you want as it is one of the great choice to opt IT compared to other streams. As you already know digital world is growing day by day so making a career in IT sector is a good option.

Both have good scope and future. It is basically depend upon your interest if you are interested computer software related thing then go for information technology or if you are interested in electronic related things then go for ece.

Many college have a good  placement for IT branch. And IT student can start with a good package.
