Dear Aspirant,

You can actually pursue any stream of your choice to be a product designer in future as its a multidisciplinary field. Though I suggest you to take PCM( Physics, Chemistry, Maths) stream in your class 11th as the skills you will learn in this field would be helpful for you.

Hope this Helps!

Hello Sumukh,

A product designer designs products, conducts user/market research and user testings. To become a product designer in India you can follow the guidelines provided below

Complete your 10+2 level education in any discipline from a recognized board of education.

Enroll in Bachelors degree in any stream but generally speaking Bachelors degree in designing is preferred (B.Des) which is a four years long undergraduate degree course.

Apply for Masters degree in designing (M.Des) which is two years long. It is important to pursue your masters in a reputed college so that your placement chances remain high. I would suggest National Institute of Design (NID) or National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

Hope this helps and Good luck
