Having any subject  in your degree is OK if you are aiming for Civil Services examinations. Preferably, if you want to prepare for Civil Services then BA course will be best suited for students who are looking to prepare during there graduation because you will get more time to prepare for this exam. But, if you are a student who is from science background and looking to prepare after graduation then B.Tech or any other similar course is preferred as it will help you in increasing your sitting power that is most important while preparation of Civil Services Examination.
