Well first priority should be given to the interest and it becomes more important of you are planing to go for higher studies however if you focus is on the jobs then in teaching all courses have equal opportunities but other than that mathematics has an edge over other courses. Even if you appear for any other job exam then having mathematics would be a benefit in solving the problems too.
