If you are asking for CA Foundation then both the subjects are equally important as both have equal weightage in the exam.
Though as we move on towards Intermediate then you have Financial Management and Economics as a subject where economics part carry 40 marks. And maths is not at all required at later stages. So clearly for Intermediate and Final, Economics is more important.

Actually for chartered accountancy the three main subject sir mathematics law and economics. You should have a knowledge of mathematics which can give you advantage. So it is quite difficult to say among them which is most important.
