There are various subjects included in IAS exam
There are two paper for IAS Preliminary and the subjects are as follows:
Paper 1:General Studies:In this you are asked about the history ,economics ,Indian Polity ,Governance ,Economic and social development,current affair
Paper 2:Comprehension,Interpersonal skills,Logical reasoning,General Mental ability,Decision making
For IAS MAINS there are 9 paper out of which 7 papers are considere for final ranking
And the 9 paper are bifurcated as follows
Paper 1:Essay
Paper 2:General studies 1
Paper3:General Studies 2
Paper 4:General Studies 3
Paper 5:General Studies 4
Paper 6,7 are optional subjects
In GS1 they ask you about History geography of world and Indian Heritage
GS2:Governance,Polity,Social justice and International Relation
GS3:Technology,Economic Development,SEcurity and disaster management
GS4:Aptitude Integrity and Ethics
Paper 6,7 optional subject with various options available ,you can refer them on the main site.
