Dear Manjeet,
According to the official notification of UPSC Civil Services Exam (The entrance exam for becoming an IAS Officer), candidates with graduation degree or equivalent in any disciple are eligible for appearing in Civil Services Exam. So, don't worry about your disciple or about which subject would be beneficial. All subjects are beneficial. So, go for the subjects you are interested in or you want to pursue. Further, you can take the Civil Services Exam based on your educational background (which can be any).
All the best!
Hello!
IAS exams can be given after completing graduation with any degree. In preliminary exam subjects asked are History, Geography, General Science, Civics, Economics and Sociology. For IAS Mains you will be provided with a chance to choose options subjects according to the stream of your graduation degree or background subjects. Therefore it is not applicable that any graduation courses can particularly help you as you will have to prepare separately for any competitive exam.
