Your query isn't clear.The eligibility criteria to get admission in any engineering college is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with minimum percentage as specified by the college.Admission in few colleges are based on merit it entrance exam while few colleges give admission based on merit 10+2.Candidates are given a seat in a branch depending on the merit and preferences.

You cannot opt for an engineering programme if you have taken commerce in your 12th standard. You can however always apply for interesting programmes like actuarial science (which is closely related to economics, statistics) or finance. A lot of engineering graduates actually end up pursuing these fields.
