Which type of bond HCl forms and why?

Hello Rishav,
Hydrogen atom has one electron in its outermost shell and Chlorine atom has 7 electrons in the outer most shell. Hydrogen shares its electon with chlorine and forms hydrogen chloride. Thus, the bond formed is covalent bond (due to sharing of electrons).
