BA in sociology honor would be a better option in comparison to general ba in sociology. As it will help you when you'll be taking in upsc. And moreover it  will add only one additional subject which will value most from degree perspective. And it will open more career options in sociology also.

While pursuing your graduation you can start preparing for UPSC. It will benefit you more and moreover I will suggest you to choose subjects like history, political science, economics which will further help you in upsc.
