Both the colleges you have mentioned are top colleges of West Bengal. Midnapore college is one of the oldest colleges of Bengal. In terms of Academics, it is quite difficult to differentiate these two. Both the colleges have been accredited by NAAC with A grade. But Asutosh College, Kolkata is currently among the top 5 affiliated colleges of West Bengal for Physics Honours. In terms of Academics, Asutosh college gives tough competition to others. Well equipped library, laboratories and other facilties are provided properly. The course is backed up renowned faculties and most of them are PhD scholars. However, there is few placements for Bachelor of Science in Physics, the college tries to fetch companies like Accenture, TCS, Wipro etc to the college for placement. On the other hand, Midnapore College doesn't offer any placements to its students. Undergraduate students get proper Exposure. Projects, Workshops and Lecture events are organized very frequently. Most of the students opt for Higher studies.
