Coding is important for all branches of engineering and especially in the case of ECE students. You will need to learn languages like python and JAVA. But you should start with basics of C and C++. You can learn this from online platforms such as udemy, sololearn, coursera, hacker earth etc.

No need to worry about that much about Coding. In the first year of Btech you will have a subject named C programming which is the basic language of Coding. If you really interested about Coding I would recommend you to join C programming course with Certificate, That will help you to showcase in the final year during placements.
