As you know FTRE is Fiitjee scholarship exam conducted every year by Fiitjee for intake of bright students who can score well in JEE advanced exam. You can avail scholarship through FTRE but not As much as you can get through RTRE. 179 marks is not a good score in FTRE from by point of view. Your rank will be fall between 6 -15 K. All this I can say with my experience as I was also a FIITJEE student at my time.

I will suggest you to focus on 12 ncert for scoring better ftre exam of class 11 as 35% of the questions are of 12 syllabus. You will find some questions repeated from previous year papers.
