In current day scenario, you can yourself attest the documents or in some cases you can go to any govt office and ask then there talk with the gazetted officer of that office and then request him to attest your documents. Keep multiple IDs and original documents for the verification of your identity. You can also goto nearest court and get your documents attested by an affidavit. An Affidavit is empowered by law to do so. Bring IDs and original documents with you. These are also many more ways to get the documents attested but these three are major one in all of them for state counselling.
