Hello there,
Edward Jenner discovered immunization in 1796, he first experimented it on a 13 year old lad with a vaccinia virus, and that's how the first small pox vaccine was discovered.

He inoculated it into the skin of the boy and this inoculation was further known by the name of arm-to-arm inoculation.

Hope this would help you.

Thank you!

Hello,

Immunization is the process by which an individual's immune system becomes forfeited against an agent also known as immunogen. Edward Jenner is considered the founder of vaccinology. The first successful vaccine that was developed by him was smallpox vaccine in the year 1796.

Hope this helps!
