Yes the executive MBA programs are very expensive in each and every college including the IIMs and other top business schools. The executive MBA is a one year program that has less class time but has the same amount of enrollment period overall as a traditional MBA.

There are many factors for which the program is expensive. Some of them are:-

First factor and the main one is that most of the executive MBA students are already working and sometimes even getting assistance with education costs from their employer, so colleges take this opportunity to inrease the price of the program a little bit, but by doing this the level of the program also increases and hence the education quality of the program also goes up. Sometimes, the colleges hire very knowledgable professors and well-known business experts to impart teaching in these programs, as well as for career guidance consultant and for different student resources.

So these teachers require high salary, and on top of these things the cost required to pay them to teach on a weekend schedule for these programs and that is the reason behind why the course in most of the institute is so costly. But,the cost also varies based on where you study the program and what the program actually consists of.
