Yes there are major and remarkable differences between the two colleges.
Advantages in RIMS :
Clinical experience , exposure and practice is more in RIMS
The facilities are more.
Number of seats and variety of courses is more.
The college and hospital lay side by side and are connected.
RIMS students and their schedule is considered in the PG coaching that is available face to face only in Ranchi in Jharkhand.
The session has come on time after so many efforts while the other two colleges of the state lag behind.
There are many more but apart from academical benefits , Ranchi has got it's perks too.
The weather , just to know , is far better than JAMSHEDPUR.
If you don't want to believe just consider the fact that it ranks number one among all other medical colleges in Jharkhand and  ranks among most deemed medical universities of India.
