Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi was established in the year 1960 under an act of Jharkhand Assembly. It is also known as RIMS Ranchi. The institute was formerly known as Rajendra Medical College Hospital. RIMS Ranchi is named after the first President of India, Rajendra Prasad. Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi is an autonomous institute. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students.
