• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board.

• Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.

The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2021 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

If you are fulfilling the above criteria,you are eligible to appear to NEET . As you mentioned that you have passed with NIOS and have an aggregate of 60% ,you are eligible to appear in the exam .

As of now recognised open board students like NIOS are eligible for Neet examination.

No, the percentage requirement in PCB to be eligible for Neet is not different for NIOS board, it is same for all the boards , thus if you are from general category then you need at least 50% in aggregate of PCB in your NIOS board to be eligible for Neet

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-----------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.

-----------)  Percentage required :- You must get

• at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

• at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

• at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible .

-----------)  Age limit :-

• Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

• Upper age limit :-The upper age limit  is 25 years as on the date of neet examination and there's relaxation of 5 years for obc ncl/SC/ST /PwBD students means upper age limit is 30 years for these categories.

†††† But since 2018, the case of upper age limit is pending in supreme court , and so there's no upper age limit as of now until supreme court gives its judgement over it.

You have been misinformed regarding NEET eligibility criteria. The NEET eligibility criteria is same for all students irrespective of the Board they are getting education from.

Following is the NEET Eligibility criteria for NEET 2022 . Though the complete details for the NEET 2022 will be released in the official information bulletin released by National Testing Agency NTA soon.

Following is the academic criteria a candidate has to fulfill to be eligible to write the NEET examination.

• Aspirant Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board. Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.

• AGE WISE eligibility criteria is candidates must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2022.

There is no upper age limit till the Supreme Court passes its judgment on it.
