Hi Dear,

Our economy consists of three main sectors which is distinguished on the basis of nature of work. Following are the three sectors:

  • Primary Sector- involved in extraction of raw material
  • Secondary Sector- involved in manufacturing or addition of value to the already existing products
  • Tertiary Sector- involved in providing service

People engaged in primary activities are called red-collar workers due to the outdoor nature of their work.
