Hello Bavesh,

One of the main advantages of conducting JEE Main 2020 twice a year for the students is that it will allow them to try their luck twice a year.

Candidates planning to get admission into IITs or NITs have to study harder as the selection will be based on their best performance in the exam. For the candidates attempting in both the session exams, their best score will be counted.

I hope it helps you.

Dear student,

Before 2019 ends the JEE mains was conducted by CBSE and there was only one exam for JEE mains organised at National level and only one student become the topper of that exam.
But after the coming of NTA the JEE Mains has become of two sessions that is January session and April session. The main motive behind this was that - the students who did not perform well in exam can prove themselves in second exam. And also they try to reduce the exam fear or pressure.
And also there is a rule that from both sessions only the best percentile score will be taken for rank making.

So basically you can say that jee mains is conducted for two sessions so that if any students feel that he or she doesn't perform well in first attempt then there will be always a second attempt remaining for them.
