Why this codes are using in jee advanced papers like 9 to 10 codes are there what's that meaning

Hope you are doing well.
The codes in any paper either depict the number of papers particular exam have or if there is only one paper, then these codes depict the number of sets a particular question paper have.
If we talk about JEE Advanced exam pattern, the exam is held in two parts, one paper for each part. Then again, for each paper, there are several sets, which are depicted by some different sets.
For example, if there are two papers, then the initial code may start with either 1 or 2. For different sets, we may have codes like A,B,C etc. So the overall code for a particular question paper may be like 1-C ,2-A etc.
