There are no plans to select students in IIT based on JEE MAINS as of now JEE ADVANCED will happen after JEE MAINS but with extended lockdown till atleast 3rd May 2020 No official announcement regarding exam dates of JEE Main has been made yet and none for JEE ADVANCED.

No, National testing agency will conduct Joint entrance examination (JEE) advance. As JEE advance is a national level examination they won't cancel it. They might postpone it but cancelling it. The only way to get into IITs is through JEE advanced for B.Tech and if students are selected from their JEE mains rank then it might be unfair for those students who are more focused in JEE advanced than JEE mains.

It is not confirmed yet this is just an idea to reduce the atudey stress and to let the session to be continued. There is no such confirmation but the chances are quite high.

So prepare well for jee mains.
