Hello Jayalakshmi,

JEE Main is conducted twice an year(from 2019) by the National testing Agency(NTA) to provide admission into various undergraduate courses in Institutions like NITs,IIITs,CFTIs etc..One session of JEE main is already over in January and NTA also started receiving applications for those who want to appear for JEE main second session which is conducted in April.

By the percentile you scored, you will definitely be qualified to appear for JEE Advanced which is conducted for admissions into undergraduate courses in various IITs. And also since, percentile is introduced this year , it is unable to predict exactly whether you have a chance in NITs or not. But based on the percentile, you can calculate your All India Rank(AIR) using the below given formula:

As per the statistics given by the NTA, 8,74,679 candidates appeared for the exam across four days with two sessions each i.e for a total of eight sessions. There are a total of 15 students who scored 100 percentile in these sessions.

To calculate you JEE main score, you need  to know the percentage of people ahead of you.For that, you have subtract your percentile from 100 and it is multiplied with 8,74,679 divided by 100.

Therefore, the formula to calculate the JEE Main 2019 for January Session:

JEE Main rank(probable)=(100-NTA percentile)*874679/100

So, your All India rank will be probably around 7500. The following article will help you know about the cut-offs for IIITs.

All the best!!

Hey Jaya,

According to your marks in jee mains your general rank will be around 7000, but the previous year cutoff is  approx 256 marks to get seat in CSE in iiit Hyderabad, but with this rank your marks will not close 256 marks  but don't loose hope there may be chance that you can get seat as trend changes over year.

Good luck

Hi dear,

You have got 99.14  percentile that means your rank should be around 8k.According to last year trend IIIT HYDERABAD's cutoff was not in rank but in marks. The cutoff for CSE was 256 marks. So you should have wait for final cut off release by iiit HYDERABAD.

Hope it helps and good luck
