No MA political Science Entrance Exam will not be in The MCQ format, Rather it will be subjective consisting of seven question out of which You need to attempt only three within three hours. The paper shall consist of Maximum 100 Marks. You can see Previous Years Papers at the following link.

As of Now I don't know any such book which can help You to cover the whole syllabus Because Its subjective and Judges many aspects having a vast syllabus, You can find some books which cover the following Topics would be sufficient:Political Theory and ThoughtComparative Politics and Political AnalysisIndian Government and PoliticsBureaucracy and Public AdministrationInternational Relations

Yes, You heard Right, FRom this Year onwards JNU Entrance exam will be online, I did not mention that because official Notice is released Today i.e. 23Oct 2018.
