Your friend's score is very less to enable him to get admission in any govt BAMS  college even if he belongs to SC category. As for government BAMS colleges, for an SC candidate to secure a seat, minimum score should be approximately 280 marks. So a score of 170 is less for securing a seat in government BAMS colleges. You can try getting seats under management quota as there is no other option left for him to exercise.
