Last year, a proposal was put forward to hold NEET UG twice a year and via online mode. However, it did not get implemented last year due to lack of resources. Whether it will be implemented this year or not is still not known as the NTA has not released any official notification regarding the same.

Dear Arkha, NTA is the exam conducting authority for NEET on behalf of MCC. Now MCC has been scrapped and NMC has taken its place. And there is no mention of NEET being conducted twice atleast officially. Unless NTA releases any official information, any news that you might come across os just speculative. Coming to your question I would like to tell you that no the neet exams are not going to be held twice a year , it is held in only one times in a year .
