Hello Binita,

No, just doing the formulae for physics is not a very good approach to get the marks you quoted. You can use the following strategy:

  • Study concepts first: For Physics especially, one cannot hope to achieve good scores unless the concepts are clear. Study the theory religiously from NCERT Textbooks and H.C.Verma. Both books are pure gold when it comes to preparing for NEET Physics.
  • Make your own notes: This is a sure-fire way of committing the study material to memory. Once you jot down the important points of any topic, after understanding, and in your own words, memorizing the information is pretty straightforward. And you can easily revise the topics from your own notes
  • Learn and memorize all formulas: Formulas have a paramount importance in Physics as most of the paper is based on numerical problems. Try to understand how the formulas are derived and then memorize them; until each formula is at the tip of your tongue.
  • Solve practice MCQs and Numerical Problems: After thorough study of the theory of a particular topic, solve maximum MCQs and numerical problems pertaining to that topic. Refer to books such as D.C.Pandey and Anil Aggarwal for abundant practice questions.
  • Solve previous years question papers: To be completely prepared for the exam, solving  is vital.
  • Revision: Devote the last fortnight before the exam to purely revision. You may have prepared well in the entire year, but unless you revise all the topics well, you are bound to face difficulties in the examination. Your self-made notes are most handy and the best way to revise.

I hope this is helpful. All the best.
